My work is a visual representation of an original story surrounding the experiences of growth and loss through the lens of a boy who learns to balance both to find clarity. I ask myself, how can I illustrate the contrast between this growth and the void of emptiness found in my story through drawing? I also explore the role of abstraction in my work by representing the complexity of emotions and themes in my story. I ask, how can my words serve as visuals for understanding?
